Mediterranean Resources Network (Mernet) is a not-for-profit, independent, non-aligned and non-partisan organisation, specialising in news and information gathering, strategic research and training on environment, development, social justice and civil liberties in the Mediterranean countries.

Mernet's administrative activities are undertaken by a small team. We also have several volunteers whose contribution of their time, energy, skills and support is vital for us.

We also have an International Board of Patrons who inspired and encouraged us since the inception of Mernet.

Mernet gathers news and information from a wide range of sources in and around the Mediterranean region. During the compilation, processing, dispatching or storage of such news and information, we sometimes need to verify or clarify them. Our International Board of Advisors plays an important and crucial role in making sure that we provide impartial and unbiased news, information and advice.
